What cultures have the highest percentage of arranged marriages?

At one point arranged marriages was very popular in the United States until the 1940’s. And many couples during this time met their partners on the day of their wedding ceremony. Also during the 1700’s marriage was the norm in western culture. However, that is no longer the case.

Today you will find that the tradition of arranged marriages is common in eastern based cultures like Japanese, Chinese, and Indian cultures. And of the three the highest percentage of arranged marriages is in the Indian culture. They rank the highest for arranged marriages at 88.4%.
